Prof. Dr. D. Israël-Biet, MD, PhD

 

Dominique Israël-Biet is Professor of Chest diseases in University Paris V René Descartes.

She is the head of the Competence Center for rare pulmonary diseases located at the university Georges Pompidou European hospital,

Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris, Paris, France.

She directed the University Laboratory of Pulmonary Immunology (University Paris V, UFR Necker-Enfants Malades) then the University Laboratory “Pharmacological and molecular mechanisms of bronchial obstruction” (University Paris V, UFR Biomédicale des Saints-Pères).

She is now a member of the INSERM-University UMR S-1140 Unit (Paris) (Pulmonary vascular remodeling in pulmonary fibrosis).

Previously member of the board of the french Research Fund for Respiratory Health, she now is the Head of its Consultative Committee.

She is a member of several french organizations concerning respiratory medicine, particularly its rare diseases (Société française de Pneumologie, Groupe Sarcoïdose Francophone, Groupe d’Etude et de Recherche sur les Maladies Orphelines du poumon (GERMOP), Conseil scientifique de l’étude RE-LAM-CE (french registry of lymphangioleiomyomatosis), RaDiCo cohort within the Maladies rares RESPIFIL-PID national cohort)

She also is a member of several  international organizations (WASOG (Executive Committee), ERS (Task force on sarcoidosis)).

Her expertise mainly focuses on sarcoidosis, interstitial lung diseases (drug-induced, idiopathic and connective tissue associated ILD) and rare pulmonary diseases.

She is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed articles.
